Heavens it’s all go here at Voices Central! While our last blog post could only hint at all the good things to come we can now (fairly) safely say that, covid clampdowns excepted, we’ve got a VERY busy summer coming up.
Kicking off with a more personal outing for Flitt & Folio as part of Penshurst’s UNMASKED BALL in – good grief! – less than two weeks’ time on June 24th, we can also tease you with promises of TWO Voices open mic events before July is out in a couple of wonderful new venues. We’ll be posting about these very soon, so watch this space, but in the meantime, Voices regulars, get your writing hats on as there are going to be plenty of opportunities for you to show us and the wider world what you’re made of.
While not strictly Voices events, further Flitt & Folio shenanigans are also scheduled for July as we share the joy of humorous verse with younger wordsmiths, in the form of workshops for the Tunbridge Wells Fringe Festival and the official opening of Southborough Hub. We haven’t done workshops for AGES so we’re really looking forward to it!
And then, of course, there’s the stuff coming up in August as part of the Tunbridge Wells Poetry Festival, and we don’t even know where to start talking about all of that.
Anyhow, as I said a couple of paragraphs ago our first outing will be in Penshurst on July 24th, so lets concentrate on that for now. (And, yes, we know there’s a huge question mark hanging over that date but we remain determinedly optimistic in best ‘The Show Must Go On’ tradition) The poster below will tell you all you need to know about obtaining tickets, and we hope to see you there.
