Not a Voices blog per se, but certainly something Flitt & Folio and several other Voices regulars are looking forward to being involved in: an Election Night Special online happening with poets and performers of all stripes hurling themselves into the political arena to do battle. By battle, of course, we mean debate and observation, all good-humoured and non-partisan.
Organised by our old young friend Rosie Mockett (she of the ‘Breasts’ for all local poetry fans – please don’t jump to erroneous negative conclusions if you’re unaware of the context), this promises to be a very special event, even if at this point we are unable to reveal full details of all that will transpire.
But why the mystery? we hear you ask, and the answer, dear reader, is simple: we don’t know what it is yet! Which is where you come in. On Wednesday 7th April from 7:30 pm there will be a group chat on Facebook to discuss the when, wheres, hows, whos, whats and whys and to get the ball officially rolling. If that sounds like something you would like to be part of just wing your way over to our Facebook page and indicate your interest. We’ll make sure your name is added to the guest list and included in the group chat settings.
